Krugman says court is ignorant.

Paul Krugman doesn't understand how insurance works.

Insurance is a product companies offer for profit.

By not understanding that simple fact the rest of his argument is garbage.

Update: the amazing mind of a liberal.
The opponents of ObamaCare ... demanded a judicial killing of the law on the grounds that it is unpopular.
The ever so popular with the left, strawman argument.
A Tea Party Supreme Court...
If only.
...could rescind much of the last century, of the New Deal and the Great Society, and even initiatives like the second Bush's "No Child Left Behind."
Superdittos!

It's amazing how the left tries to make villains of decent people representing the majority of Americans that just want to live their lives. Because of the lefts stupendous over reach, they have joined these people together, remembering our founders by using the name tea party.

Nuclear engine space race is on

Nuclear engine is expected to be ready by 2017. Via R. Zimmerman.

The Russian government allocated 500 million rubles ($16.7 million) in 2010 to start a project to build a spacecraft with a nuclear engine. The overall investment in the project is estimated at 17 billion rubles (over $580 million) until 2019.

Those darn dems...

...are so scary when they're mad.

Ham sandwich OS

This is what you get when Bill Gates "ham sandwich" OS dominates the market. Then again, other OS don't handle security very well either. This does not have to be the case. Security is possible, just not a high priority.

Just call me Vanilla Wop.

Do they even hear themselves?

The articles says...
a Roberts Court already ranked among the most conservative in recent history
Then goes on to talk about all the 5/4 decisions. Get a clue, 9/0 would be most conservative (or liberal as the case may be.)

Liberty hangs on one vote. Shouldn't we fix that?

They think this is bad...

...but this is why they were elected.

These writers probably think everybody should either be a public employee or collect welfare.

It's good to see the tea party is having results.

Media keeps saying fold 'em

Why are they afraid of the convention?

Newt couldn't be more clear, but that won't stop the idiot media.

Some light on a tragedy

I found this (Bluesky).

Two things about this case bother me. 1) George Zimmerman is being described as white when he's clearly Hispanic. 2) They keep showing a picture of Trayvon Martin that is several years old.

Again Obama is race baiting. Why? Update: C.L. Bryant asks the same question.

I read that Zimmerman was attacked from behind by Martin as he was walking back to his truck. Zimmerman was on the ground being beaten by 6' 2" 200 150 lb. Martin (not the skinny kid in the photos from years ago.) As usual the media is spinning another story for it's own agenda.

Update: Hispanics are now crackers? Will there be blow back?

Obama's 'son' on the left. Dead guy on the right. You've been hustled by the media.

Enforcing law unfair to criminals

The article says,
The majority of unlicensed motorists in Los Angeles are immigrants who are in the country illegally and have low-income jobs. The LAPD says the state's impound law is unfair because it limits their ability to get to their jobs and imposes a steep fine to get their car back.
So, "it's just not fair" is the new legal defense? I'm sure that will work for me. Yes, it would limit their ability to illegally hold a job and they just might self deport if we are so mean to them. We wouldn't want that!!!

Continued poor math skills.

From Rasmussen via Newmax:

Santorum is up by 43 percent to 31 percent, according to the poll conducted on Wednesday. Newt Gingrich has 16 percent with Ron Paul trailing on 5 percent.
The news gets even worse for Romney if Gingrich and Paul are taken out of the equation. In that scenario, 57 percent say they would vote for Santorum, while 37 percent go for Romney.

My emphasis. Wrong. It's all about keeping Romney from 1144. What's important here is that if the other two drop out Romney goes from 31% to 37%. The only place where anyone has a chance of beating Romney is at the convention and the only way that happens is preventing him from getting to 1144.

Are the media reporting the true delegate count? Why not?

Update: Not going to be pressured out.

Ice on Mercury?!

Apparently.

Very encouraging for space activities to see water everywhere we look.

Dept lies

The headline says, "CBS's Mark Knoller Falsely Claims Debt Has Increased More Under Obama Than Bush"

The content says, "[Bush] increase of 89%. [Obama] about 40%."

Which is quite misleading since it doesn't take into account rate which using the articles numbers is...

Bush: ($11t - $5.7t) / 8 yrs. which equals $662.5b
Obama: ($15t - $11t) / 3 yrs. which equals $1.3t

So Obama is the clear winner here at twice the rate of Bush.

Update: ...TARP shows up as an expense in Bush’s final budget, but the paybacks show up as income in Obama’s first two budgets. TARP made Bush’s spending problem look worse than it actually was, and it masked just how awful Obama’s spending problem was and is.

The rest of the article is more important. I just picked the quote that related to this post. Read it.

Delegate count

What are the real numbers?

Mitt needs 1144. Anybody calling for any of the other three to drop out is shilling for Romney. It doesn't matter who another candidate is taking the most away from. Even 1 is 1 less of the 1144.

Update: Mitt wins IL but with less than 50% 53%. Santorum looks good in LA, but four days of carpet bombing by Mitt will likely change that.

Does this suggest who Obama would like to run against? He's the tallest dwarf?

Update: 2 days to go. Some delegate details. LA details.

Putting the pressure on Rick.

I'm back

It's been a while. I've had either no internet connection, a bad internet connection, a good internet connection with a lousy computer, and now finally a good computer with a good connection.

So expect posting here to increase in the future.
